The CACN offers three levels of membership. Eligibility criteria is defined in our Bylaws.

Institutional Membership

Institutional Membership is open to all nursing schools who meet the following criteria. The Dean/Director of the school shall be considered the primary member and the designated voting delegate. All licensed nurses employed by the member institution are afforded member status with the CACN if they choose to join.

  • Must offer a baccalaureate level or higher nursing degree
  • Must be operating in and chartered in California
  • Must be accredited by the CCNE, ACEN, and/or NLN CNEA

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate members are Deans/Directors of nursing schools who meet the following criteria. Affiliate members do not have voting privileges.

  • Must offer a baccalaureate level or higher nursing degree
  • May be operating in California, but chartered in a different state
  • May be an out of state program interested in partnering with the CACN
  • Must be accredited or actively seeking accreditation from the CCNE, ACEN, and/or NLN CNEA

Adjunct Membership

A designee of a nursing or healthcare organization, association, or entity that directly impacts the work of the CACN. To become an adjunct member please email info@cacn.org.
